Our team has particular specialisms in the property, housing, infrastructure, transport and energy sectors. We combine this with broad industry knowledge to work with organisations across a wide range of sectors.

Chris Rumfitt

Chris Rumfitt

Founder & Chief Executive

Chris founded Field in 2014 after spending six years as a Managing Director at one of the world’s biggest PR agencies, and five years as Head of Communications at Network Rail. His specialist advisory services include communications strategy, crisis & issues communications and industrial relations communications.

Across a twenty year career in political and corporate communications, Chris has worked in most sectors but has particular strengths in energy, railways, aviation, sustainability, property and housing. He started his career working with the Labour Party, including on the 1997 general election campaign and then in Tony Blair’s Downing Street within Alastair Campbell’s formidable press office operation.

Lucy Holbrook

Lucy Holbrook

Managing Director

Lucy is Managing Director responsible for managing the day to day operations of the agency. Lucy has a particular specialism in developing and implementing integrated campaigns, bringing together public affairs, media, digital and marketing strategies. She provides strategic advice to a range of clients at Field including The FA and Neuron Mobility. Prior to joining Field she was a Partner at Pagefield where she advised major global brands including Kellogg’s, Discovery Networks, Budweiser Brewing Group and Airbnb on their communications activity. Lucy also spent six years as a senior lobbyist at Connect Communications working with a range of clients in the property sector and has also worked in local government at Cardiff City Council.

Jo Bird

Jo Bird

Director

Jo joined Field in January 2020. She has over 20 years’ experience working in the transport sector, including aviation, rail and clean fuel vehicles.  Specialising in corporate and crisis communications, prior to joining Field, she has been Head of Communications at British Transport Police as well as Head of Media for Heathrow Airport.  She was also Head of Communications at the Rail Safety and Standards Board. Jo has also worked in journalism.

Her current clients included Govia Thameslink Railway, LNER, Network Rail and Alstom.

Maurice Cousins

Director

Maurice joined Field Consulting in September 2018. He has over a decade of experience working in public affairs, campaigns and providing strategic advice to leading corporate brands. At Field, Maurice works with clients in the housing, rail and property development clients. He offers a range of bespoke services, including thought leadership, CSR strategy development, issues and reputation management.

Prior to joining Field, Maurice was Director of Insight and Strategy at Westbourne. He has experience advising clients across a range of sectors and industries, including onshore oil and gas, renewables, driverless cars, rail, food and drink, High Net Worth Individuals and tech. He previously worked at Connect Communications, Conservative Friends of Israel, the Centre for Social Cohesion, Nothing British, the anti-BNP campaign, and as a Parliamentary researcher for Douglas Carswell, the former Conservative MP.

Rob Jeffery

Rob Jeffery

Director

Rob leads our energy and sustainability practice and has over a decade of experience driving legislative and regulatory change for disruptors in the sector. He joined Field from the challenger energy supplier OVO where he led their public affairs team for four years. He had previously helped Edelman grow their energy practice and has also worked in house for wind energy trade body RenewableUK. In January 2021 he won PR Week’s “Public Affairs Professional of the year” award at their annual awards ceremony.

Alex Morton

Alex Morton

Consultant

Alex joined Field Consulting in May 2016. Before that, he was Special Adviser to the Prime Minister for two and a half years at No10, focused on all matters relating to DCLG, including housing, planning, and local government. He also drafted the Conservative 2015 Manifesto on those areas. Prior to working in No10, he led on housing and planning at the influential Policy Exchange think tank. He has also worked in the civil service Fast Stream and in the House of Commons.

Clarke joined Field Consulting in February 2018, from a leading Glasgow based public affairs consultancy where he specialised in local government and planning communications. Clarke works predominantly across our planning and development portfolio to secure planning consents for clients in a variety of sectors including housing, retail and renewable energy. With client interests located across the country ranging from housing associations such as L&Q and Home Group, nationwide infrastructure providers to private developers and renewable energy companies, Clarke has wide ranging experience in the development sector.

Prior to his move into public affairs consultancy, Clarke attended the University of Glasgow, graduating with an MA in Business Management and Politics.

Jonathan Andrew

Senior Account Manager

Jon is an Account Manager who works with a number of clients in the transport sector including Govia Thameslink Railway, the Railway Industry Association and the Rail Supply Group, on media relations and public affairs. Jon also has experience in the energy and property sectors, having worked with clients such as the Carbon Capture and Storage Association and Home Group.

Jon joined Field Consulting in 2016, having gained public affairs experience at Portland and Maitland Political. Jon is a graduate from the University of Exeter where he helped to run the University’s debating society.

Hannah McLaughlin

Senior Account Manager

Hannah works across a range of sectors including transport and infrastructure. She assists in the day to day running and management of accounts, working with clients to develop effective engagement strategies. Prior to joining Field, Hannah worked at Cicero as well as another major London agency, and as a public affairs and events assistant for a major intergovernmental organisation.

Felix Shaw

Felix Shaw

Senior Account Manager

Felix joined Field in May 2019 as an Account Manager, bringing considerable experience working for clients in the built environment and infrastructure sectors. He previously worked as the in-house Communications Manager at a town-planning consultancy, where he played a key role in delivering public consultation and local political engagement strategies on some of the largest regeneration projects in London. Felix has a keen interest in development and placemaking and in a previous role led on providing secretariat services for the All Party Parliamentary Group for London’s Planning and Built Environment.

At Field, Felix is supporting clients across housing, infrastructure and transport, including multinational design and build consultancy Arcadis and train operator LNER.

Annalee Jones

Senior Account Manager

Annalee joined Field Consulting in September 2021, having previously worked in-house on planning and construction communications and engagement for Westminster City Council. Annalee has experience running planning consultations and long-term community engagement for construction in a local government context, particularly in central London. Before moving to the UK, she worked as a Housing Policy Analyst for the New Zealand Government.

At Field, Annalee works on a range of projects across planning, development, and transport. Her clients include Ballymore, Delancey, and Neuron Mobility.

Stephen Alton

Account Manager

Stephen joined Field as an Account Manager in September 2021 and works exclusively in the energy and sustainability sector. His clients include So Energy, Velocys and Sustainable Aviation, helping them to develop effective engagement strategies.

Prior to joining Field, Stephen worked in Parliament for nearly five years for Michael Ellis MP, helping to run his Parliamentary office and supporting Michael in his ministerial positions from Transport Minister to Attorney General.

Mary joined Field Consulting in August 2019 and works across a range of projects including transport, infrastructure and energy. Her clients include Alstom, Neuron Mobility and the High Speed Rail Group.

Prior to joining Field, Mary worked with Conservative MP Tom Tugendhat. Mary graduated from the University of Exeter with a degree in history and politics.

Francesca Gallagher

Francesca joined Field Consulting in January 2021 and works across a range of projects including housing, transport and energy. Her clients include Arcadis, Ballymore, Carbon Engineering, Optivo, the Railway Industry Association (RIA) and Rothesay.

Prior to joining Field, Francesca volunteered for a think tank focused on environmental, social and economic issues, and also worked for the then-Conservative MP for St Albans Anne Main. Francesca graduated from the University of Bristol with a degree in Politics and German.

Mark joined Field in May 2021 and works across a range of projects in the energy and transport sectors. His clients include Neuron Mobility and The Yorkshire Energy Park.

Prior to joining Field, Mark worked part time as a research assistant at a think tank and completed an internship at Hanbury Strategy. Mark graduated from the University of East Anglia with a degree in International Development and Politics.

Kendal Sefton

Account Executive

Kendal joined Field Consulting in May 2021 and works across a variety of accounts focusing on energy, transport and infrastructure. Her clients include Dulas, Govia Thameslink Railway, So Energy and the High Speed Rail Group.

Before joining Field, Kendal volunteered for a grass roots organisation focusing on corporate partnerships and alliances. Kendal graduated from the University of Northumbria with a degree in history and politics, followed by a master’s degree from the University of Sheffield in history.

Catrin Trudgill

Catrin joined Field in January 2021 and works across a range of projects including housing, energy, and transport. Her clients include evo rail, Sustainable Aviation, and heylo housing. 

Prior to joining Field, Catrin completed internships with a Labour MP from North Wales, an international NGO in Geneva, and a US Congressman from Colorado. Catrin graduated from Boston University with a degree in International Relations and Political Science.

Tom Murphy

Tom joined Field in August 2021 and works across a range of projects in the transport and planning sectors. His clients include Chiltern Management Group, Optivo and the High Speed Rail Group.

 

Prior to joining Field, Tom worked for the Labour MP Luke Pollard. Tom graduated from the University of Liverpool with BA and MA degrees in English.

Edith Agyemang

Edith Agyemang

Office Manager

Edith joined Field Consulting in June 2021 as the Office Manager and is responsible for ensuring the smooth running and efficiency of the office, she also provides Executive Assistant support to the Chief Executive and Managing Director as required.

Edith has worked in professional senior office assistant positions for a number of years. Her previous role was working for a prestigious commercial real estate firm where she displayed track record of strong performance in high-volume, busy environments, Edith skilfully managed administrative duties and went above and beyond to exhibit an effective and tranquil business experience for the clients, internal and external colleagues.

Edith graduated from the University of Birmingham and acquired a degree in Business Management with HR.
