Our team has particular specialisms in the property, housing, infrastructure, transport and energy sectors. We combine this with broad industry knowledge to work with organisations across a wide range of sectors.

Chris Rumfitt

Chris Rumfitt

Founder & Chief Executive

Chris founded Field in 2014 after spending six years as a Managing Director at one of the world’s biggest PR agencies, and five years as Head of Communications at Network Rail. His specialist advisory services include communications strategy, crisis & issues communications and industrial relations communications.

Across a twenty year career in political and corporate communications, Chris has worked in most sectors but has particular strengths in energy, railways, aviation, sustainability, property and housing. He started his career working with the Labour Party, including on the 1997 general election campaign and then in Tony Blair’s Downing Street within Alastair Campbell’s formidable press office operation.

Lucy Holbrook

Lucy Holbrook

Managing Director

Lucy is Managing Director responsible for managing the day to day operations of the agency. Lucy has a particular specialism in developing and implementing integrated campaigns, bringing together public affairs, media, digital and marketing strategies. She has provided strategic advice to a range of clients at Field including The FA and Neuron Mobility, the shared e-scooter operator. Prior to joining Field she was a Partner at Pagefield where she advised major global brands including Kellogg’s, Discovery Networks, Budweiser Brewing Group and Airbnb on their communications activity. Lucy also spent six years at Connect Communications and has also worked in local government at Cardiff City Council.

Jo Bird

Jo Bird

Director

Jo joined Field Consulting in January 2020. She has over 20 years’ experience working in the transport sector, including aviation, rail and clean fuel vehicles.  Specialising in corporate and crisis communications, prior to joining Field, she has been Head of Communications at British Transport Police as well as Head of Media for Heathrow Airport.  She was also Head of Communications at the Rail Safety and Standards Board. Jo has also worked in journalism.

Her current clients included Govia Thameslink Railway, evo-rail, and the Nichols Group.

Rob Jeffery

Director

Rob leads our energy and sustainability practice and has over a decade of experience driving legislative and regulatory change for disruptors in the sector. He joined Field Consulting from the challenger energy supplier OVO where he led their public affairs team for four years. He had previously helped Edelman grow their energy practice and has also worked in house for wind energy trade body RenewableUK.

In January 2021 he won PR Week’s “Public Affairs Professional of the year” award at their annual awards ceremony.

Alex Morton

Alex Morton

Consultant

Alex joined Field Consulting in May 2016. Before that, he was Special Adviser to the Prime Minister for two and a half years at No10, focused on all matters relating to DCLG, including housing, planning, and local government. He also drafted the Conservative 2015 Manifesto on those areas. Prior to working in No10, he led on housing and planning at the influential Policy Exchange think tank. He has also worked in the civil service Fast Stream and in the House of Commons.

Tim Sculthorpe

Tim joined Field Consulting as a Director in January 2023 after working as a special adviser in the Boris Johnson and Liz Truss governments. He offers senior strategic counsel to Field’s clients, as well as significant experience in media strategy and crisis communications. In government, he advised Sajid Javid at HM Treasury, before working for Thérèse Coffey at the Department for Work and Pensions, the Department of Health and Social Care, and as Deputy Prime Minister.

A journalist by trade and training, Tim worked in the Westminster lobby for a decade, including as Deputy Political Editor of the MailOnline and as Parliamentary Editor of the Press Association news wire.

Clarke Heron

Associate Director

Clarke leads Field Consulting’s planning and development portfolio, devising and implementing strategies to build support and secure planning consents for clients in a variety of sectors.

With client interests located across the country ranging from housing associations, nationwide infrastructure providers to private developers and renewable energy companies, Clarke has wide ranging experience in the development sector.

Clarke previously worked for a leading Glasgow based public affairs consultancy where he specialised in local government and planning around housing and renewable energy developments.

Vincent Fabri

Vincent Fabri

Account Director

Vincent is an Account Director at Field Consulting, having joined the business from a data & insights-driven policy and advocacy consultancy. He specialises in delivering insights-led integrated public affairs and strategic communications strategies with a particular interest in clients in the energy, sustainability and climate change policy space.

Vincent also heads up Field’s research offering: Field Research. He is a trained qualitative researcher and moderator, with experience leading research projects for clients across transport, energy, telecommunications and professional services.

 

Felix Shaw

Felix Shaw

Account Director

Felix joined Field Consulting in May 2019, bringing considerable experience in the property and planning sectors. He previously worked as the in-house Communications Manager at a town-planning consultancy, delivering public consultation and political engagement strategies on some of the UK’s largest housing, energy and infrastructure projects. Felix has a keen interest in placemaking and in a previous role led on providing secretariat services for the All Party Parliamentary Group for London’s Planning and Built Environment.

At Field, Felix is supports a range of clients across the property, transport and infrastructure sectors including consultancy Arcadis, e-scooter operator Neuron Mobility and pensions insurer Rothesay.

Holly Williamson

Account Director

Holly joined Field Consulting as an Account Director in July 2023, having spent six years working for the Civil Service in various roles in strategy, Policy, and Project Management. Holly also worked across Departments, including the Home Office, the Department for Work and Pensions and more recently Department for Energy Security and Net Zero.

At Field, Holly supports a range of clients across the energy and transport sectors.

Stephen Alton

Stephen Alton

Senior Account Manager

Stephen joined Field Consulting as an Account Manager in September 2021 and works exclusively in the energy and sustainability sector. His clients include renewable energy suppliers So Energy, sustainable fuels technology company Velocys and industry coalition Sustainable Aviation, helping them to develop effective engagement strategies.

Prior to joining Field, Stephen worked in Parliament for nearly five years for Michael Ellis MP, helping to run his Parliamentary office and supporting Michael in his ministerial positions from Transport Minister to Attorney General.

Mary Dewar

Mary Dewar

Senior Account Manager

Mary joined Field Consulting in August 2019 and works across a range of projects including in the transport, infrastructure and property sectors. Her clients include e-scooter operator Neuron Mobility, development company Earls Court Development Company and train operator, Govia Thameslink Railway.

Mary was shortlisted for PR Week’s Public Affairs Newcomer of the Year Award in January 2022. She also is on the committee for networking group Lib Dems in Comms. Prior to joining Field, she worked with an MP.

Kendal Sefton

Account Manager

Kendal joined Field Consulting as an Account Executive in May 2021 having previously worked for a grassroots organisation focussing on corporate partnerships, alliances and public affairs.

During her time at Field, she has developed a focus primarily across the transport industry and now works on a range of clients in this space including train operating companies Northern Trains Limited, Govia Thameslink Railway and First Rail. In addition to this, Kendal’s clients also include the supply chain membership body High Speed Rail Group, rail 5-G provider evo-rail and the Elephant and Castle Town Centre redevelopment.

Kendal also works pro-bono for grassroots women’s rights organisation, Our Streets Now.

Oliver Trowell

Oliver joined Field Consulting in April 2023, having previously worked at a public affairs agency specialising in the property and development sector. He has experience of delivering complex community engagement programmes across the UK, and at Field he works across a range of projects in the transport, property and infrastructure sectors.

Oliver recently graduated with a MSc in International Development on a scholarship programme following the completion of a BA in Politics and International Relations at Birkbeck, University of London.

Tabby joined Field Consulting in October 2023 and works across a range of clients, including First Rail and the Carbon Capture and Storage Association (CCSA).

Prior to joining Field, Tabby worked as a Project Manager, on public sector contracts, specialising in defence.

Tom Murphy

Tom joined Field Consulting in August 2021 and works across a range of projects in the transport, energy and planning sectors. His clients include Chiltern Management Group and the High Speed Rail Group.

Prior to joining Field, Tom worked for the Labour MP Luke Pollard. Tom graduated from the University of Liverpool with BA and MA degrees in English.

Anne Perham

Anne joined Field in September 2023. She previously worked for the Conservative Party’s political research team, managing stakeholders and running the party’s phone canvassing operation.

Prior to Field, Anne also worked for Integra, project managing events and delivering communications for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Beacons project.

Laura Laycock

Account Executive

Laura joined Field Consulting in December 2022 and works across a range of clients including global design, engineering and management consultancy Arcadis, property developer Ballymore, and Rail 5G telecoms provider Evo Rail.

Prior to joining Field, Laura interned with a UN affiliated NGO for female leadership and global peace before gaining experience of public affairs at Grayling. Laura graduated from The University of Edinburgh with a degree in History.

Esther joined Field Consulting in April 2023 and works across a range of clients including Alfanar N+P, ECDC, GTR, Avanti and Neuron.

Prior to joining Field, Esther completed a PR Training Programme with the Taylor Bennett Foundation which gave her a good insight into the world of PR. Esther graduated from The University of Kent with a degree in Politics and International Relations.

Elena joined Field Consulting in November 2022 as an Intern, and was quickly promoted to Account Executive.

Before joining Field, Elena worked briefly as a research assistant with the Campaign for Freedom of Information. She graduated with a Politics degree from the University of Warwick in 2021, and has recently completed an MSc in Conflict, Rights and Justice at SOAS.

Ryan joined Field Consulting in October 2023 as an Intern and was quickly promoted to Account Executive. He works across a range of clients in the energy, planning and transport sectors.

Prior to joining Field, Ryan studied at the University of Bristol and graduated with a degree in Politics and International Relations.

Ann-Marie Stephenson

HR Lead

Ann-Marie supports the team at Field Consulting with HR matters.

She has worked with a wide range of organisations, large and small, including professional service firms, charities and PR consultancies.  Ann-Marie is a Fellow of the CIPD, has a Masters in HR and a degree in English Literature.
