Berkeley Homes

Supporting the development of Woodberry Down

Field Consulting has led on community and stakeholder engagement for Berkeley Homes’ major estate regeneration in Woodberry Down, Hackney since 2015. The project is being delivered in partnership with LB Hackney and Notting Hill Genesis and will span 30 years, delivering 5,500 new homes.

Our Strategy

We devised an integrated programme of engagement to help Berkeley develop and maintain positive, productive relationships and build trust amongst political stakeholders, key residents groups and local influencers as the delivery of the regeneration moves forward.

Our Tactics Include

Working closely with the Council, we manage a programme of regular community outreach events to help build and integrate the development’s sense of community. These include hosting regular open days with an arts and crafts offering, summer outdoor cinemas, an annual summer Fun Day and winter festival and running a newly established business network. We also provide public affairs support in light of the changing political landscape in Hackney and against the backdrop of thel wider changes in London politics.

Through our support, Berkeley Homes has built a strong working relationship with the delivery partners, as well as with local residents. The Woodberry Down project is consistently used as an example of exemplary community-led regeneration.
